COVID-19 UPDATES
Please check back here frequently for updates during the weeks leading up to the wedding.
A Message From Jackie & Matthew
Dear Family & Friends,
It’s the final countdown to our wedding! We are so excited to celebrate with you on September 4th! We would like to provide everyone with an update regarding COVID-19 safety and precautions. We have two requests in an effort to have an extra fun and safe celebration and we ask for everyone’s cooperation to ensure that. Please know that everyone who will be working at the wedding is vaccinated and the serving staff will be wearing masks.
We apologize for any inconvenience but, to ensure a safe party, we are asking everyone to:
-
Submit your COVID-19 vaccination card ASAP. For many it will be easiest to do this on your cell-phone. VACCINATION CARD FORM
-
Get a COVID-19 test 1-2 days before the rehearsal dinner and submit the results by 8 pm ET Thursday, September 2. For many it will be easiest to do this on your cell-phone. See below if you need help with this. COVID TEST FORM
Please submit your vaccine card promptly so you don’t receive a phone call from the RSVP police! :)
If you are unsure of how or unable to get a COVID-19 test please reply to this e-mail so we can help you figure this out.
If you are unable to comply please let us know by this Tuesday, August 24. No hard feelings, no judgments, just wedding logistics.
Here are the details:
First and immediately, can you please fill out the VACCINATION CARD FORM ASAP to submit a scan or picture of your COVID-19 vaccination card? This will also serve as a confirmation that you have received this e-mail.
Second, in addition to being vaccinated, for everyone’s safety, we will be requiring that all guests get a COVID test 1-2 days prior to attending our rehearsal dinner. Please get tested on either Wednesday, September 1 or Thursday, September 2. We know this is a pain, but we are prioritizing our guests’ safety over convenience. We are happy to accept any antigen or PCR test, and need all guests to submit the results in this COVID TEST FORM by 8 pm ET Thursday, September 2. We would hate to have to do this, however, unfortunately we’ll have to turn away guests that cannot submit a test by this time. If you need assistance with getting tested, reach out to us on https://newmansaffer.love and we’ll help. Note that most pharmacies and urgi-care centers have same-day testing abilities covered by most insurance, and there are also many very affordable at-home COVID-19 testing kits. For example, Walgreens has this TEST.
We truly appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding. We know this is obviously an inconvenience and thank you in advance. As many of you may know, we were supposed to get married Labor Day Weekend 2020, however COVID had different plans for us. While we had plenty of opportunities to have a backyard wedding over the past year, we decided to wait so we could celebrate with all of the people we love the most (and have an epic hora). We will not let COVID ruin our wedding plans again, nor are we willing to sacrifice the safety of our friends and family. After many late night conversations and family meetings, we can confidently say that this is for everyone’s benefit.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any concerns, questions or if you need help in any way. We will be updating the FAQs on our website, https://www.newmansaffer.love as well as creating a special COVID-19 updates section of our website, https://www.newmansaffer.love/covid.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in 13 days!!
Much Love,
Jackie & Matthew
